Learn and apply skills

Resources, activities and courses for researchers, educators and professionals to build and apply skills in data science and AI while becoming part of a wider community

Introduction

We support data science and AI researchers and professionals - as well as other domain experts - to better understand and implement responsible and ethical data science and AI. All our resources and training opportunities are free, open source and available to all, and they aim to build skills and capacity.

DSG participantsData Study Groups (DSGs): Intensive collaborative hackathons through which teams of multidisciplinary researchers tackle data challenges from industry partners. The Turing works with university partners to develop and deliver their own DSGs, making use of regional connections with industry and charities.

Data science and AI careers: a spotlight series - How do I get into a data science and AI career? What roles are available to me? Do I need a STEM degree or equivalent to work in this world? What does day-to-day life look like in various data science-related roles? Can I make a positive impact on society in this role?

If you have ever wondered about the answer to these questions, then you have come to the right place: The Alan Turing Institute’s Spotlight Series. In this series, which is comprised of short videos and longer podcast interviews, we ask current data science professionals working across government and academia these exact questions and more.
