Introduction
The Turing supports the acceleration of skills and knowledge transfer between government, academia and industry by providing opportunities for working on real-world data science and AI questions alongside academic research. We are developing two-way talent flow schemes including placements and secondments to help early- and mid-career researchers gain experience in industry, government and the public sector, while creating opportunities for researchers to connect and share knowledge.
Current opportunities
- Turing Internship Network - Apply by 18 February 2025
- Enrichment scheme - Apply by 10 March 2025
- ECR Connect - AI UK event dedicated to early career researchers (poster submission by 23 February 2025)
What we do
Turing Internship Network (TIN)
Curated data science and AI internship opportunities for PhD students offered by our partners in industry, government and the public sector.
The Turing's PhD Enrichment scheme
Funded placements at the Turing designed to give PhD students the opportunity to enhance, refresh and broaden their research.
Placement opportunities for researchers that provide training, mentoring and career development support to enable them to work across sectors and advance their careers. Turing Research Fellows start by being embedded in a Turing project, and throughout the first year, placement opportunities in industry, government and the third sector organisations are shaped.
Bringing together PhD students to network, showcase their research and be part of a UK-wide student community with an interest in data science and AI.
You can also find out more about how to engage with the Turing as an individual researcher.
